Stop sharing an album

If you stop sharing an album:

  1. Other people will not be able to see your album.
  2. Comments and photos that other people added will be deleted.

To stop sharing:

  1. On your computer, go to photos.google.com
  2. On the left, click Share.
  3. Open a shared album.
  4. In the upper right, click More More and then Options.
  5. Disable Share
  6. Click Stop Sharing.

Important Note: If someone has already downloaded or copied photos or videos they shared, deactivating sharing will not delete those downloads or copies.

Prevent people from adding photos to an album

Anyone who has the link to their shared album can view it automatically and add photos. You will see his profile picture in the upper left.

To prevent people from adding photos:

  1. On your computer, go to photos.google.com.
  2. On the left, click Share.
  3. Open an album
  4. In the upper right, click More More and then Options.
  5. Disable Collaborate.

Important Notes: You cannot prevent individual people from adding items, but you can prevent everyone from adding items.

You will continue to see photos that other people added unless you delete them.
