Do you want to give your Snapchat or Instagram stories a little more life by adding music?

This publication will give you all the information you need to add music to your story so that it may turn out something like this. Everything from your iPhone.

The first thing you should do is to think about the story you are going to do and the kind of music you want to accompany it. Then there are a couple of applications that you will need to install.

Required applications:

InShot : (App Store Link) Main application used to edit and add music.

CutStory or Storeo (Snapped Story Splitter coming soon for a free alternative without the watermark): the application used to split the video into 10 seconds clips to upload on Snapchat or Instagram.

What to do:

1 Open the InShot application, tap on the video and select “New”. From here you can start selecting any photo or video that you want to include in your story. You can select multiple by touching the icon in the lower right corner, these clips can still be changed before you finish making the story.

2 After selecting the video clips, you must adjust the size of the video canvas horizontally to vertically. To do this, tap the “Canvas” button and select the 9:16 option and tap the double mark to apply this to all your clips.

If the individual clips are different in size, you may have to scroll through the timeline to that clip and touch the Canvas icon again and adjust the slider (you can also drag the video from left to right). Once you have finished making changes this time, touch the single mark to set this to just one clip.

3 To add music, touch the “Music” button and select the tracks. From here you can use a track from your phone or one of the highlighted InShot tracks (most of them will require credit). You can also AirDrop a track to your phone. Then just touch the track you want and then press “Use”.

This will show the track along with the clips you can drag from left to right to choose when you want the music to start. To melt into the music, just touch the track and you will find a number of options that include fade / disappear, crop to include only a certain part of a track, volume and delete.

4 Once you have finished making any other adjustments, it is time to save and export your story. To do this, touch the share icon in the upper right corner of the screen and touch “Save.” It will take a moment to process it before saving it in the roll of your camera.

5 Almost complete! Then open an application such as CutStory or Storeo (these applications are free, but they add a watermark to the video.) We will launch a free application without a watermark for this soon. Using the application of your choice, select the video that we just created. InShot and divide this into clips. Now you can find your story divided into 10-second clips on your camera roll ready to load on Snapchat or Instagram!
