Method to Avoid PPPOE Error in Routers

PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet); a broadband connection provides authentication process consisting username and password along with data transport. When it doesn't work properly, the above message appears. Get rid of PPPoE error message in the router by choosing the most suitable solution available at our end. Most of the DSL provider work with PPPoE to building internet connection.
 

Follow the given steps to eliminate PPPoE error messages in the router:

 

1. Solve PPPoE Authentication Failed Issue:

 
The issue generally occurs when you mistype username or password for PPPoE account. To avoid such type of problem, you must check username and password provided by ISP (Internet Service Provider) during the internet installation. Once it is verified, users are required to put it on the router web-based setup page.
 

2. Solve PPPoE LCP Negotiation Failed Issue :

 
The user faces this issue when there is a problem with the account that has been entered by them on the router's web-based setup page. In order to solve this, check whether the account is active. Also, verify both username and password with ISP as recommended by Router Support Team.
 

3. Solve Connecting Issue with PPPoE Server :

 
The server's non-response to any request leads to the occurrence of an error. For verification whether ISP's PPPoE server is online, try to connect pc to modem and check is it establishing a connection to the internet or not. If online, connect the router with device and modem and do power-cycle mode.
