Find and eliminate unusual activity in your Yahoo account

Monitoring your recent login activity can help you discover if unauthorized users have accessed your account. Note that there are legitimate reasons why your history may show unknown locations, such as your mobile device detecting the wrong location or the Internet provider that uses a proxy server.

Access the recent activity of your account

From a desktop or mobile browser: log in and visit the Recent Activity page.

From most Yahoo mobile applications: -

  1. Press the Image Menu icon from the side menu icon.
  2. If you use the Yahoo mail application, tap Manage accounts.
  3. Touch account information.
  4. Touch Recent Activity.

Note:- If these steps do not work in your application, access the Recent Activity page from your mobile browser.

Review the entries and eliminate suspicious activity

Depending on how you access your account, there may be up to 3 sections. If you see something you don't recognize, click Log out or Remove next to it, then change your password immediately.

  1. Recent activity: devices or browsers that recently logged in. Select one to see the available IP addresses.
  2. Applications connected to your account: the applications to which you have given permission to access your information.
  3. Recent changes in account access: shows the last 3 password changes.
