Fix problems when signing in to your Yahoo account

Forgot your password or Yahoo ID

This error message means that the combination of password and Yahoo ID you entered does not match what we have registered. Consider the following:

1. Check the "uppercase" or "number keys" keys: these keys change the value of what you are typing.
2. Update your browser's auto-fill settings: if your browser remembers passwords, you may need to update the autofill settings after changing your password.
3. Try another web browser: if you can access your account in another browser, the problem is not in your account; You will have to solve the problem in your preferred browser.
4. Someone changed their password: an unauthorized party could have entered and changed their password. Use the login wizard to return to your account and change your password. Then, check your account settings to undo the changes you did not make and secure your account.

Other login problems

Do you get a "First time you log in here?" message

If you log in from a device, program or location that we didn't see you before, we can ask you to enter a verification code (which is sent to your mobile recovery phone or email) to verify that it really is you. Your Yahoo account is locked

To protect your account, it may be temporarily blocked after many failed login attempts. It will unlock automatically after 12 hours, but you can always recover access immediately with the Sign-in Helper.

If you have been asked to verify your identity several times, our system may have detected a threat in your account. When this happens, we may temporarily block access to protect your information. Below are the reasons why your account may be blocked repeatedly: -

2. Your IP address is hidden or constantly changing.
3. Login attempts occur from different geographical locations in a short period of time.

Your login screen loops or reloads

If you are stuck in a loop where the login screen reappears after clicking "Login", you must reset the "login" cookie.

1. From the login page, click on Are you not?
2. Enter your Yahoo ID and password.
3. Click Login.
