The accounts of social networks like Snapchat are incredible until someone gets their password in some way and pirates it. HOW TO AVOID HACKING

First, let’s talk about how you can prevent this from happening to you in the first place. Account protection begins with a secure password. Consider the following tips to create one.

· Make it at least 8 characters long.

· Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

· Use a combination of uppercase and lowercase.

· Do not use common words or phrases.

Once you have found a secure password, prepare to do it again … and again. In fact, you’ll want to change your password regularly. If that sounds discouraging, consider getting a password manager. Password managers facilitate organizing and remembering complex and highly secure passwords. Another approach is to have “modular” passwords that can rotate in an easy-to-remember schedule, but not easy to guess.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SUSPECT HACKING

Do not waste your time trying to confirm if your account was hacked. If you suspect that it was, then continue and act immediately. It will not hurt to take action one way or another. If you suspect you are hacking, take the following steps to protect your account.

· Change your password.

· Make sure the contact information for your account recovery is accurate.

· Notify your friends that it could have been hacked in case the hacker is using your account to access them.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN NOT ACCESS MORE TO YOUR ACCOUNT?

If you can not sign in to Snapchat, do not worry. There are a couple of things you can do to recover your account. First, try to recover it in the old way by going to your login and touching Forgot my password. There is a good chance that if the hacker plans to change his password, he will also change the recovery information in his account. However, there is a possibility that they have not thought about doing so and you can reset the password using your email or phone number.

If that does not work, contact Snapchat support to defend your case by following the steps below.

1. Go to the Snapchat support page at https://support.snapchat.com

2. Select policies and security.

 

3. Select Report a security concern.

 

4. Select I think my account was hacked.

 

5. The support team will first tell you to try. I forgot my password. Assuming you already tried it and it did not work, select Yes next to Still need help.

 

6. Select No when asked. Could you recover your password or login again?

7. Fill in the form that appears as accurately as possible and send it.

The Snapchat Team could grant you access to the account again, allowing you to create a new password. However, they will only do so if they are satisfied with their answers on the form. They must be sure that the account you are trying to access is really yours.

If Snapchat will not grant you access to your account, you must create a new one if you wish to continue snapping.
