If you have a Chromecast, you can display your photos and videos on a bigger screen.
On Computer/PC/Laptop
Step 1: set it up
- If you have not already done so, install the Chrome browser on your computer.
- Connect your computer to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
Step 2: Cast
- In Chrome, go to photos.google.com.
- Click on View and then on Cast
- Select your Chromecast.
- Depending on the settings, the browser tab or the entire computer will be displayed on the TV.
- To stop the launch, click on View and then on Launch, and then on Stop Launch.
On Android Device
Before you start, make sure your device:
- Android 4.4 and higher. Learn how to check your version
- Use the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
To start casting, follow the steps below:
- Open the Google Photos application.
- In the upper right, tap Cast> select your Chromecast.
- Open a photo or video on your device to display it on your TV. You can swipe between the photos to change what is shown.
To stop launching, tap Cast> Disconnect.
On iPhone/iPad
Before you start, make sure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
- Open the Google Photos application.
- In the upper right, tap Cast and then select your Chromecast.
- Open a photo or video on your device to display it on your TV. You can swipe between the photos to change what is shown.
To stop the launch, tap Cast and then Disconnect.
