As popular social software, Snapchat is part of the lives of many people. However, one day you get up, without doing anything wrong, you discover that no matter how many times you type the correct password, simply “Could not connect” to Snapchat as shown in the screenshot.

How to fix the error? Here we offer ten solutions for you!

Solution 1: Check the network connection

As a social application, Snapchat relies on the network to run as each social application does.

If you are using an iOS system (iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, etc.):

Go to “Settings”> “WLAN”> change another Wi-Fi connection, or use your cellular data.

If you are using an Android system (like all Samsung phones):

Go to “Settings”> “Wi-Fi”> switch to another Wi-Fi, or use your cellular data.

After switching to a more stable network, start Snapchat again to see if you can sign in now.

Solution 2: check if Snapchat has crashed

It is said that sometimes the Snapchat server goes wrong. If so, you can go to the Snapchat Twitter account to see if there is any notice that they will update your server, or visit the Snapchat page in the Down Detector to see if something is not working correctly.

Solution 3: Turn off Snapchat and start it again

The fact that you can not connect Snapchat can be a temporary problem, and it will be resolved in a minute by closing your Snapchat and running it again. To exit completely from Snapchat,

If you use the iPhone, double-tap the home button, locate Snapchat and slide it.

If you use an Android phone, go to the lists of recent applications, look for Snapchat and slide it.

Solution 4: Close VPN on your iPhone or Android phone

As you know, Snapchat is banned in some countries. Therefore, running a VPN on your iPhone or Android phone can affect your Snapchat login. Just close your VPN and when you return to Snapchat, your problem can be solved.

Solution 5: Enable Snapchat access to Wi-Fi and cellular data

The first time you start a new application, you will see a pop-up window asking you to grant permission for Wi-Fi and mobile data. Since you have not given Snapchat access to Wi-Fi and mobile data, of course, it could not connect successfully.

If you use iPhone (iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, etc.):

Go to “Settings”> Snapchat> “Wireless Data”.

Then select “WLAN and cellular data” to allow Snapchat to use the data.

Solution 6: Restart or force reboot your phone

For mobile green hands, whenever they find a problem, the first thing they should do is restart their phones. It may seem stupid but it helps. And if it does not, you can try it by forcing the restart of your phone.

If you are using iPhone (iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, etc.):

Press and hold the power button while pressing the start button until the screen on your iPhone reappears the Apple logo.

If you are using an Android phone (such as Samsung):

Press and hold the power button and the button to lower the volume at the same time.

Solution 7: Update your Snapchat

One of the reasons why programmers update their applications is that there are errors in the previous version, so they need to replace it with a new one. So, no doubt, updating your Snapchat to the latest version helps. And all the application data generated in the previous version will be saved securely in the updated version.

Solution 8: Remove and reinstall Snapchat

Press and hold the Snapchat icon, tap the cross in the upper left corner and tap “delete” to uninstall Snapchat.

Then, go to the app store (if you use iPhone) or Google Play Store (if you use an Android phone) to download it again.

Solution 9: Uninstall incompatible jailbreak settings

For some iPhone users, the existence of jailbreak applications such as xCon and NoSub have a negative impact on the execution of Snapchat because so far no one has hacked Snapchat and created a jailbreak application. Follow these steps to delete those jailbreak applications:

Step 1: Download Cydia, which is a package management application for the iOS system, to install software packages with jailbreaking on iPhones, iPads, and iPods.

Step 2: Start Cydia, type “xcon” or “nosub” in the search bar.

Step 3: Locate and touch xCon or NoSub for a particular application. For example, “xCon for PokemonGo”.

Step 4: Then go to “modify”> “remove” to remove it.

Solution 10: Contact Snapchat Support

If none of the previous nine solutions solved your problem, we suggest that you need Snapchat support. You can go to your Twiter account or look for help at support.snapchat.com.
