Change your language or location preferences in Yahoo

Access your "Account Information" preferences to set your preferred language, region and favorite locations.

Update your language and regional settings

1. Log in and access your Account information page.
2. Click Preferences on the left.
3. In the "Language" menu, select the language and region you want.

Use location services to adjust your current location

Yahoo services update your location every time the device you are using moves to a new area. It is not possible to manually change your default location from the location that has been detected.

1. Activate location services for your mobile device.
2. Activate location services for your desktop web browser.

Manage your favorite locations

Some products, such as Yahoo Weather, allow you to maintain a list of favorite locations among which you can change. You can manage your list of favorite locations (not your default location) from your account preferences:

1. Log in and access your account information page.
2. Click Preferences on the left.
3. Click on the Delete icon from Yahoo Accounts Remove icon. to remove it or click Add favorite location to add more.
