Snapchat is still extremely popular among certain demographic groups, but for some reason, you may have decided that it is not right for you. In this guide, we will show you how to permanently remove Snapchat in just nine easy steps.
Whatever the reason for throwing in the towel: hate the infamous 2018 update, put aside the Snapchat removal program on Instagram, or just try to limit the amount of time you spend on your phone, the good news is that it’s really easy to get rid of your Snapchat account. However, you must be patient, since you have to consider a 30-day “cool down” period.
How to remove Snapchat permanently
If you’re not sure you’re ready to let it go, do not worry. This is because it takes about a month to remove a Snapchat account, and you can resuscitate it at any time within 30 days of pressing the red button by simply logging in.
As the company explains: “While your account is deactivated, your friends will not be able to contact or interact with you on Snapchat.” However, once the 30-day period mentioned above ends, your Snapchat account will disappear forever.
This is the easiest way to delete your Snapchat account:
1. Go to Snapchat.com
2. Click on “Support” under “Community” at the bottom of the page
3. Select “My account and security” in the list of options on the right
4. Select ‘Account information’
5. Click on “Delete my account”
6. Read the information on the screen
7. If you wish to continue, follow the link to the Snapchat account portal
8. Enter your username and password
9. Re-enter your username and password and click “Continue.”
That’s it. As mentioned above, as long as you do not sign in again in the application for the next 30 days, your Snapchat account will be permanently canceled.
